Restore & Reclaim The Daintree Rainforest

Reviving the Lungs of the Earth

One Soap At A Time

Introducing our new Zero Waste Soul Soap Giveback!
Join us in supporting the frontline of an Indigenous-led reforestation initiative to help replant 1 million trees, and protect the Daintree Rainforest. Large-scale deforestation during the 20th century has left this source of life wounded. Safeguarding this natural wonder, home to Indigenous communities for over 50,000 years, is critical for not only preserving a home, but protecting a vital source of life that sustains us all. Which is why we have partnered with Joywave and the Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (JYAC) to help restore this unique ecosystem.
For every Zero Waste Soul Soap you purchase, 100% of the sales (not profits) will be donated to the JYAC to support with:
  • Replanting up to 69 Hectares of Rainforest
  • Protecting and sustaining unique biodiversity
  • Training and development of young, traditional Yalanji owners
  • Scaling up Jabalbina's reforestation capabilities to hit their goal of replanting 1 million trees
DAINTREE RAINFOREST
The Daintree, Australia’s largest rainforest, and host of one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world, sustains plants and animals that can’t be found anywhere else on Earth.

It is part of the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest in Australia, the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area in Queensland. The ancient, self-sustaining forests have witnessed dinosaurs, ice ages, and early humans all come and go.

The Australian Government has acknowledged the Indigenous heritage of the area as being nationally significant. The Aboriginal Rainforest People of the Wet Tropics of Queensland have lived continuously in the rainforest environment for more than 50, 000 years, and this is the only place in Australia where Aboriginal people have permanently inhabited a tropical rainforest environment.

Today Eastern Kuku Yalanji people, the Traditional Owners of the Daintree, are working to ensure that it is restored and protected for future generations.

The Daintree is one of the two most irreplaceable ecosystems on earth. The IUCN has listed the lowlands of the Daintree as endangered. Part of JYAC’s goals is to protect the lowlands from this threat.

JYAC

Founded in 2007, the Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation leads non-profit efforts across diverse ecosystems, notably reclaiming and restoring the Daintree Rainforest. Their mission focuses on planting millions of native trees, rehabilitating degraded habitats, and supporting Indigenous land management. They innovate through drone planting and seedball technology, advocate for environmental stewardship, and educate on deforestation's impact.
