The Ritual Reset ~ Daily Inspired Rituals
Week 1:
Grounding & Setting the Tone
This week is about laying the foundation, clearing space, creating rituals, and opening yourself to renewal.
DAY 1: Intention Setting
Before beginning any journey, setting an intention gives it meaning. Take a moment to reflect: What do you want to cultivate during these 21 days? More presence? Deeper self care? Write it down, speak it aloud, or create a visual reminder. Your skin, like your spirit, responds to care given with intention.

DAY 2: Land Acknowledgment
Pause to acknowledge the land you stand on. Research its history, honour its traditional custodians, and offer gratitude for its presence in your life. Connecting to the earth is a core part of holistic wellness.
How to do a land acknowledgement:
For this exercise, it is more important that you see and visualise who/what you are acknowledging rather than getting the correct terminology. Speaking the traditional name anchors your respect and acknowledgement.
To prepare yourself, two things are important:
- Finding the traditional name of the land you are on. You can do this through: https://aiatsis.gov.au/explore/map-indigenous-australia
Think of your ancestors and what you are grateful for or wish to acknowledge that has led you to where you are today. If you don’t have the history, simply closing your eyes and connecting to your womb or heart to feel, perhaps even without words, your lineage both before and potentially after you. While speaking the acknowledgment, visualising in whatever way feels natural to you, making space for whatever may come up when slowly speaking the words with intention.
- Find a quiet spot in nature, in front of a pot plant, or holding a leaf/piece of nature. Whatever is most accessible to you.
Script: "I acknowledge the traditional and unceded territory of the [Indigenous Nation(s)], who have cared for this land for generations. I honour their elders, past, present, and emerging, and recognise the ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples to this land. I also honour my own elders, past, present and emerging. Today I deepen my commitment to working in solidarity with my community in a spirit of respect and healing of the earth and its people."
Visualise your body drawing roots down through the layers of the earth to its centre. Feel the mutual connection. You belong here.
Thank you for being a custodian of this land.
3. Create an Altar
An altar is a sacred space, a visual representation of what you hold dear. Gather meaningful objects: flowers, crystals, a candle, a journal, or anything that grounds and inspires you. This is where you can return daily to reconnect with your intention.
4. Alternative Nostril Breathing
A practice rooted in Ayurveda, this simple yet powerful breathwork balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain, calms the nervous system, and supports oxygen flow, helping to reduce stress (which, in turn, affects skin health).
5. Warm Lemon Water Upon Waking
A ritual for internal purification. Warm lemon water supports digestion, flushes toxins, and replenishes hydration after sleep, setting the tone for radiant skin and a clear mind.
6. Detox Your Home
Our environment shapes our well being. Take time to remove products with synthetic fragrances, replace toxic cleaners with natural alternatives, and open the windows to refresh the air. Let your space reflect the nourishment you are inviting into your body.
7. Digital Detox
Technology overstimulates the mind, often keeping us in a constant state of reaction. Today, step away, limit social media, turn off notifications, and be present with the world around you. Your nervous system (and skin) will thank you.
Week 2: Nourishment & Deep Care
This week focuses on physical renewal, feeding the body, hydrating the skin, and moving with awareness.
8. Facial Massage
A loving practice that stimulates circulation, supports lymphatic drainage, and relieves tension in the face. Use your hands or a tool (like a gua sha) with your favorite oil to enhance absorption and encourage a natural glow.
9. Guided Meditation
A moment of stillness, guided by Montana’s voice, inviting you to slow down, soften, and reconnect. This meditation is designed to shift your nervous system into a state of rest and renewal - where true healing happens. Whether through breath awareness, visualisation, or a gentle body scan, allow yourself to fully arrive, just as you are. Let this be a space of calm within your day, a quiet reset for both mind and skin.
10. Refined Sugar-Free Day
Highly processed refined sugar is known to cause inflammation in the body and can contribute to skin issues like breakouts or dullness. Today, focus on whole, nourishing foods, fresh fruits, herbal teas, and natural sweetness from sources like honey or dates.
11. Mindful Eating Practice
Take a moment to slow down and fully immerse yourself in each bite. Pay attention to the colours, textures, and flavours of your food. Eating with intention not only supports digestion but deepens your connection to nourishment. Today, try eating in silence, no phones, no TV. Just you and your meal, present in the moment.
12. Exfoliate
Shedding the old makes way for the new. Gently exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells, revealing a fresh, bright complexion. Let it be a metaphor, what else in your life are you ready to release?
13. Go for a Walk Outside (1 Hour)
Moving in nature is medicine. Whether it’s the ocean breeze, the scent of eucalyptus, or the feeling of bare feet on earth, allow nature to recalibrate your energy. Walking also increases circulation, which directly benefits skin health.
14. Learn a New Nourishing Recipe
Food is an extension of self care. Experiment with a recipe that feels nourishing, something vibrant, whole, and made with love. Cooking can be a creative ritual that connects us back to the roots of nourishment.
Week 3: Reconnection & Reflection
This final stretch invites joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of self-acceptance.
15. Dance First Thing in the Morning
Shake off stagnancy, move freely, wildly, without thought. Dance is an act of embodiment, reminding us that joy exists in movement.
16. Watch the Sunrise or Sunset
A simple yet profound practice. Watching the sky shift from one state to another is a reminder of life’s natural rhythms. It also helps regulate circadian rhythms, supporting better sleep and healthier skin.
17. Mirror Eye-Gazing Meditation
Looking into your own eyes, without judgment, without distraction, is deeply healing. This practice strengthens self-acceptance and allows you to witness yourself with love.
18. Bathe by Candlelight
A moment of deep relaxation. Light candles, add soothing botanicals to your bath or shower, and sink into the warmth. Water carries away stress, offering renewal in the gentlest of ways.
19. Lymphatic Drainage
Encouraging the body’s natural detoxification process, lymphatic drainage supports immune health and skin clarity. This can be done through gentle massage, dry brushing, or movement.
20. Go Makeup-Free
A day to embrace your natural self. No concealing, no covering, just you, as you are. Let your skin breathe, and notice the beauty in its natural state.
21. Write a Letter to Your Future Self
Reflect on this journey. What have you learned? How do you feel? Write to your future self, offering wisdom, encouragement, and a reminder of the care you have cultivated.
