Reforesting for the Future

The Power of Native Trees and Ongoing Care

The act of planting a tree is often seen as a symbol of hope, of renewal, of leaving something behind that will long outlive us. But the truth is, reforestation is not just about planting, it is about restoring, nurturing, and protecting.

We believe in working with nature, not against it. That is why we are proud to partner with Reforest Now for a tree-planting day on Thursday March 27th, bringing hands to the soil in one of the most critical ecosystems in Australia: the Big Scrub rainforest - Bryon Shire region of northern NSW.

Not all trees are created equal. In an effort to ‘green’ the planet, mass tree-planting efforts sometimes use non-native species that fail to support the delicate balance of local biodiversity. Native trees, on the other hand, are deeply intertwined with the land; they provide food and shelter for wildlife, restore soil health, and bring back the natural water cycles that once thrived. In the Big Scrub, where 99% of the rainforest has been lost, every carefully chosen tree species planted is an act of ecological healing.

Reforest Now:
ReForest Now is an Australian not-for-profit dedicated to regenerating the ancient rainforests of eastern Australia. With a deep reverence for the land, they work to restore what has been lost, planting diverse native species, reviving ecosystems, and protecting the biodiversity that once thrived. Their mission is not just about planting trees; it is about healing landscapes, reconnecting fragmented forests, and reversing the damage of deforestation. Grounded in community and collaboration, ReForest Now partners with local growers, scientists, and volunteers to ensure that every tree planted is part of a greater vision: one where the earth flourishes, and we remember our place within it.

Planting is Just the Beginning

One of the biggest misconceptions about reforestation is that planting the tree is the final step. But the truth is, young trees are vulnerable. Without proper care, many do not make it to maturity. That is why Reforest Now’s work goes beyond planting; they ensure that each tree is maintained for at least three years, allowing it to become strong enough to thrive on its own.

This commitment to long-term care mirrors our philosophy at INBLUEM. Just as skincare is not about quick fixes but rather nourishing the skin for lasting health, reforestation is about laying down roots that will grow for generations.

Healing the Land, Healing Ourselves

The beauty industry has long taken from nature, stripping lands for resources, overproducing, and leaving behind waste. But what if beauty was regenerative? What if the products we use not only supported our skin but also gave back to the planet?

That is the future we are working towards. Every INBLUEM order contributes to reforestation projects like this one, supporting Indigenous-led land care, ethical farming, and environmental restoration.

Join Us in Rewilding the Future

On March 27th, we will be planting alongside Reforest Now (RSVP HERE), helping to rebuild a lost rainforest, one tree at a time. We invite you to be a part of this movement; whether by joining us in person, supporting reforestation efforts through your purchases, or simply becoming more intentional about the impact your choices have on the earth.

Because rewilding is not just about the land. It is about all of us; returning to what is natural, reconnecting with what sustains us, and taking responsibility for the future we are shaping.

Will you plant a seed for change?
