Our Organic Macadamia oil is a luxurious, golden, raw cold pressed oil extracted from the nuts of the macadamia tree (Macadamia integrifolia and Macadamia tetraphylla), native to Australia and sourced from Northern, NSW. Macadamia oil’s low comedogenic rating poses minimal risk of pore-clogging, and is moisturising and nourishing for the skin due to its fatty acid profile which consists of:
Oleic acid (omega 9) to help lock in moisture and maintain a healthy skin barrier. Palmitoleic acid (omega-7) which plays a role in skin barrier integrity and potentially offers anti-inflammatory effects. As well as Linoleic acid (LA) (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) (omega-3) which may help reduce inflammation.
Our organic Hemp seed oil, also known as hemp oil, is an raw cold pressed oil extracted from the seeds of the cannabis sativa plant from Northern, NSW. Hemp seed oil’s high content of Omega-3 and 6, as well as oleic acid contributes to its emollient properties, helping seal moisture in the skin and potentially improving hydration. The presence of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and potential anti-inflammatory properties suggest it may soothe irritated skin. Its low comedogenic rating makes it generally suitable for most skin types with minimal risk of pore-clogging. Vitamin E content offers potential antioxidant protection against free radical damage, contributing to improved skin health.
Eremophila Mitchellii, commonly known as Buddha Wood or False Sandalwood, is a small tree or large shrub native to the arid regions sourced sustainably and ethically from south east Queensland. Studies suggest the presence of monoterpenes like alpha-pinene, limonene, and myrcene. These compounds contribute to the essential oil’s aroma and may possess some antibacterial and antifungal properties.
