Mother Nature always provides, and in our journey to deliver natural skincare that actually works, konjac sponges emerge as her gift to radiance skin. Made from the porous soft fibres found in the root system of the konjac plant, these sponges have been used for centuries in Japan and offer a gentle, environmentally-conscious touch to your skin journey.
A far gentler alternative to traditional physical exfoliants which can often damage your skin barrier and leave skin feeling stripped and dry, konjac sponges aid to unclog pores, remove dirt and excess oil, and reduce the appearance of blackheads, revealing your skin’s inner radiance. Gentle enough for everyday use, Konjac Sponges are naturally alkaline, meaning they can aid in balancing and restoring your skin’s pH levels. We’ve infused our Konjac Sponges with aiding active ingredients (such as Green Tea, French Clay or Activated Charcoal) so you can find a tailored option suitable for your skin journey.
Using your Konjac Sponge
To use, simply soak your konjac sponge in warm water for a few minutes until it becomes soft and puffy. Gently massage onto your skin in circular motions, focusing on areas that require exfoliation or extra love. Once you’ve finished using your sponge, rinse thoroughly with water and hang it to dry in a cool and airy place. To preserve it’s lifespan, avoid wringing, twisting or pulling and use with just water.
Choosing your Sponge for Optimal Radiance
While everyone’s skin is unique, a general guide is that our Activated Charcoal infused konjac sponges aid with oily and acne-prone skin with detoxifying properties that reach deep into pores. Our Green tea infusion aids in providing antioxidants for sensitive skin and anti-inflammatory benefits to protect skin from environmental damage. And our French Clay infusion is rich in purifying minerals including silica, which has been shown to improve skin elasticity and cell renewal function for a brighter complexion.
Life Cycle of Konjac Sponges
If used and stored correctly our konjac sponges can last up to 2-3 months. Our Konjac Sponges are completely biodegradable and free from harmful chemicals, so if used with just water you can compost them with plant scraps.
Healthy skin can go hand-in-hand with a healthy planet - a testament to the interconnectedness of beauty and nature.
