Natural Vs Synthetic Vitamin-C

THE POWER OF KAKADU PLUM & NATURAL VITAMIN-C COMBINED

There’s a reason why our favourite evening ritual revolves around the power of Vitamin-C and Kakadu Plum combined. They work together through the night to boost collagen production, stimulate your cell turnover from within, all to reveal your natural radiance and glow. But what sets our natural Vitamin-C serum apart from the rest? Well if you’ve tried and are wondering why it’s so impactful it’s simply because it is 10 x stronger than what you’ll typically find on the shelf. Most beauty brands use a synthetic Vitamin-C as their hero ingredient (but let’s be real - it’s less than 5%), our Kakadu Plum serum is 99.8% active which is why you only need 3 drops of this potent fruit to simplify and amplify your evening ritual.

4 REASONS WHY THE NATURAL VITAMIN-C IN OUR KAKADU PLUM SERUM IS MORE POWERFUL THAN SYNTHETIC VITAMIN-C

There are two types of Vitamin-C found in your skincare; Natural Vitamin-C extracted from fruits that contain powerful phytonutrients and antioxidants, and synthetic Vitamin-C (ascorbic acid or L-ascorbic acid) which is created entirely in a laboratory. Although synthetic and natural Vitamin-C are chemically identical, it is important to look at how our body responds to and absorbs them both.
So how does the natural Vitamin-C in our Kakadu Plum Serum differ form synthetic Vitamin-C?

1. THE COMPLETE PACKAGE

Our Kakadu Plum Serum contains natural Vitamin-C along with a complete entourage of antioxidants, bioflavonoids and amino acids which work in synergy with each other. Meaning that it is in its most purest form and the way nature intended. This makes it more bio available, powerful, and easier for our skin to absorb and metabolise than its synthetic counterpart.

2. FILLED WITH ANTIOXIDANTS

The Natural Vitamin-C in our Kakadu Plum can help to protect your skin from UV damage due to the rich antioxidant properties. Antioxidants fight off free-radicals which cause oxidative stress on the body which can result in skin dysfunction and premature ageing. Synthetic Vitamin-C unfortunately does not contain these potent properties and can sometimes increase skin sensitivity.

3. BOOSTS COLLAGEN PRODUCTION

In order to stimulate collagen production in the body, you need to deliver an entire Vitamin-C complex and entourage of phyto-nutrients, amino-acids and minerals, which you can find present in our Kakadu Plum Vitamin-C serum. Synthetic Vitamin-C serums unfortunately do not have this same capability to stimulate collagen production.

4 ACTIVE AND ALIVE INGREDIENTS

Outdated extraction methods (maceration/percolation/powders etc.) place the plant under extreme stress that rapidly uses up the phyto-compounds (the active ingredient of the plant) and compromises their bonds, resulting in an extract of decomposing plant matter. However, through the process of CELLULAR EXTRACTION, we have been able to extract the essence of a plant in extremely high potency as close as possible to how they would exist in nature.

This occurs by using only purified, rain harvested water and extracting rapidly under high pressure - this maintains the molecules’ natural integrity. Essentially, the result is a high potency, natural, bio available and active cosmeceutical that is good for you and our planet - and will be active (alive) when it comes in contact with your skin, something synthetic Vitamin-C’s cannot promise.
